Opta Government Solutions, LLC (Opta). is a Small Business Administration (“SBA”) certified 8(a) Alaska Native Village Corporation (“ANC”) Small Disadvantaged Business (“SDB”). Opta Government Solutions provides Telecommunications Products and Services Solutions to Department of Defense and Civilian Agency customers. We support customers in CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide.

Opta is an SBA certified 8(a) and a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Eyak Corporation, an Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC). Opta works within the full spirit and intent of the SBA 8(a) Program to provide socio-economic benefits for our community of Alaska native shareholders. Opta has a thorough understanding of federal contracting regulations and offers customers the ability to procure goods and services in an expeditious and seamless manner through the 8(a) Program.

Federal purchasers wishing to procure Telecommunications products and services from Opta using the SBA 8(a) Program may do so by submitting an offer letter request to Opta’s sponsoring SBA office in Anchorage, AK. SBA’s review and approval process occurs within three days from receipt of the request. Once approved, agencies can begin collaborating on project requirements and negotiating contracts with Opta without the need for a lengthy competitive proposal process.

Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC) ‐ 8(a) Advantages:

  • No Written Justification Required for an ANC Sole Source Awards

  • Sole Source Direct Award Contracts up to $100 Million in the Department of Defense, and up to $25 Million in Civilian Agencies

  • Direct Negotiated Contract – A Government Agency may contract directly with an ANC 8(a) entity…and the entity may receive a directly negotiated contract (13CFR124.5D1(b); FAR19.805-1(b)(2))

  • No Protest of ANC 8(a) Sole Source Awards 13 C.F.R. 124.517 (a)

  • Exemption from Competitive Thresholds – ANC 8(a)’s are Exempt from the Competitive Threshold of $4.5M for Services Contracts and $7.0M for Manufacturing Contracts (13CFR124.506(b)(1))
